# Bridging & Wallet Setup

## Botanix Labs

Botanix Labs is a Bitcoin Layer 2 that uses real Bitcoin as gas and to secure the chain. In order to properly use the chain and Artura, you'll first need to bridge over your assets by following this tutorial:

###  Fund Your Artura Wallet on Botanix Mainnet

You’ll need:

* A Bitcoin wallet (Ledger, Trezor, OKX, or an exchange like Coinbase)
* An EVM wallet (MetaMask, OKX, or Rabby)
* OR
* An email address (to create your Privy wallet on Artura)

#### Step 1: Create Your Privy Wallet on Artura

1. Go to [app.artura.finance](https://docs.artura.finance/introducing-artura/product-guide/getting-started/broken-reference)

2. Click Connect  (top right)<br>

3. Enter your email address

4. A Privy wallet will be generated for you and tied to your email
5. Copy your Privy wallet address you’ll need it later when sending $PUSD

#### Step 2: Bridge BTC to Botanix

1. Visit the[ Botanix Bridge](https://bridge.botanixlabs.com/)<br>

2. Connect your EVM wallet (MetaMask, OKX, etc.)<br>

3. Click Deposit
4. Copy the Bitcoin deposit address generated for you
5. Open your Bitcoin wallet (e.g., Ledger, OKX, or CEX like coinbase) and send BTC to that Botanix given address\ <br>

6. Wait \~3 hours for 19 confirmations
7. Once the status shows "Confirmed", click Claim to mint BTC on Botanix
8. Your BTC will now be visible in your EVM wallet on Botanix\ <br>

Note: Botanix uses BTC for gas so make sure to leave a small amount for transaction fees.

#### Step 3: Get $PUSD for Trading

1. Go to [Bitzy Swap](https://bitzy.app/swap)
2. Connect your EVM wallet
3. Swap some BTC for $PUSD for trading
4. Confirm transactions and proceed to: "Step 4: Send $PUSD to Your Artura Wallet"

(Alternatively Borrow $PUSD from Palladium)

1. Go to[ Palladium App](https://app.palladiumlabs.org/)
2. Connect your EVM wallet
3. Complete the onboarding (may require joining Palladium Discord)
4. Head to the Borrow section
5. Choose a collateral type (e.g., pBTC, stBTC, rovBTC)

   1. If you only have native BTC, select "Get pBTC" to convert it\ <br>

   2. You can also get sBTC by [staking BTC on Botanix](https://yield.botanixlabs.com/) \ <br>

6. Open a Trove by:
   1. Depositing BTC collateral (\~$150+ recommended)
   2. Choosing how much $PUSD to borrow (minimum: 100 $PUSD)

1. Confirm and sign the transaction
2. Once successful, your borrowed $PUSD will appear in your wallet

Tip: Add the $PUSD token manually using this contract:\
0x42725b4D9270CFe24F6852401fdDa88248CB4dE9

#### Step 4: Send $PUSD to Your Artura Wallet

1. Copy your Privy wallet address from Artura (from Step 1)<br>

2. In your EVM wallet (MetaMask, OKX), initiate a transfer of $PUSD to your Privy wallet
   1. Send native BTC for gas fees as well (one or two dollars is sufficient).
3. Once the transaction confirms, the $PUSD & BTC for gas will be available on Artura
4. Now you can:
   1. Deposit $PUSD into vaults to earn XP and up to 25% APR
   2. Start trading perps on Artura

## Manual Wallet Guide

### WalletConnect (Optional)

If you prefer using a mobile wallet, hardware wallet, or an alternate EVM wallet like Trust Wallet, Rabby, or MetaMask, you can connect to Artura and Botanix through WalletConnect:

1. On Artura or the Botanix bridge (for sending BTC), click Connect Wallet.
2. Choose the WalletConnect option.
3. A QR code or deep link appears.\

4. Open your mobile/hardware wallet app, go to WalletConnect, and scan the QR code (or tap the link).
5. Approve the connection request in your wallet.
6. Now your wallet is linkedany transaction needed (depositing BTC or sending PUSD) will prompt a signature request in your wallet.
7. Approve those transactions directly from your wallet app.

### Metamask/Phantom/Rabby/Etc... (Optional)

In order to connect traditional hot wallets such as Metamask, Phantom, etc... follow the tutorial above with "Step 2: Bridge BTC to Botanix" and "Step 3: Borrow $PUSD on Palladium" in order to receive proper funding. Ensure the funds are sent to the correct wallet.
